The International Association of Landscape Archaeology (IALA) offers three 250€ travel awards to early stage researchers presenting a paper or poster at LAC2020.
The IALA Travel Award is awarded biannually to the presenting author of the three best abstract submitted for participation in the next LAC conference series. The award supports (in part) travel expenditures to the location of the LAC conference. The price is awarded only to undergraduate or postgraduate students (Bachelor/Masters/PhD).
Abstracts will be evaluated for their quality, value and novelty with respect to interdisciplinarity within Landscape Archaeology.
Abstracts will be assessed and evaluated directly by selected members of the Advisory Board of IALA.
The Travel Awards go into action as of the timing of the Landscape Archaeology Conference in 2020 (LAC2020), you will be notified on the outcome of the award evaluation before early registration deadline, before 1-4-2020.
In order to apply to the IALA Travel Award you must submit your abstract/paper proposal before February 14th (https://lac2020.cchs.csic.es/call-for-abstracts/). Then, in order to qualify for a travel award, you must send a short CV, the registration reference of your paper and a cover letter to lac2020madrid@cchs.csic.es also before February 14th (EXTENDED deadline: Sunday 23rd).
